New AAPC Members Appointed to Committee

October 13, 2025

The African American Philanthropy Committee of Central Carolina Community Foundation is excited to welcome new leadership voices committed to strengthening philanthropy in Black communities across the Midlands. Reginald (Reggie) Webber, Dr. Angela W. Peters, and Rev. Malachi J. Alexander are the latest members lending their expertise, experience, and passion to the committee and our community.

Reginald “Reggie” Webber

Reginald “Reggie” Webber brings years of civic involvement and nonprofit engagement to the committee. Known for his community connections and leadership, Webber will help broaden donor outreach and strengthen relationships with organizations serving African American communities.

Dr. Angela W. Peters

Dr. Angela W. Peters, Director of Academic Affairs and Licensing for the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, brings over three decades of leadership experience in higher education. She has previously served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Voorhees University, where she championed access, workforce development, and student success.

Rev. Malachi J. Alexander

Rev. Malachi J. Alexander is a pastoral leader, community organizer, and emerging theologian committed to preaching the gospel and uniting diverse communities. He is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology as a Yellow Ribbon Scholar. Through his pastoral work and community service, Alexander has consistently emphasized the church’s role in addressing social needs and promoting equity.

The African American Philanthropy Committee’s purpose is twofold: to redefine the philanthropic narrative in the community by educating donors of all races on ways to invest in the Black community, and to strengthen the sustainability and growth of Black-serving nonprofits by acting as a resource hub.

Together, the three leaders represent a broad spectrum of expertise, spanning nonprofit engagement, higher education, and faith-based service.

With Webber, Peters, and Alexander on board, the committee is poised to continue amplifying the impact of Black philanthropy in the Midlands by supporting organizations, cultivating donors, and ensuring that giving translates into lasting change.
