High school seniors and current college students can apply for more than 200 scholarship awards online with one general application. Scholarships are available for two-year, four-year, and advanced degree programs.
Applications for the 2027–2028 academic year are open January 1 to March 5, 2027.
Applicants are matched with all awards for which they qualify.
New applicants start with the general application after creating an account in our scholarship portal.
Next, students complete the eligibility quiz, which helps align them with our available scholarships. The system automatically filters the scholarships for which the student is eligible.
Then, students fill out the rest of the application, if they qualify. Only one application is required to apply for multiple scholarships; however, students must submit a separate application for each scholarship for which they wish to be considered.
If you are applying for one specific scholarship (such as the Sonoco Scholarship), please use the General Application unless you have been given a special access code.
Note: All scholarships must be paid to accredited, nonprofit institutions of higher education. For the best experience, we recommend accessing the portal using a desktop or laptop.
Since 1994, the Foundation has awarded more than $6.89 million in private donor scholarships to help students obtain a higher education.
