Central Carolina Community Foundation and local artists are working together to create a new exhibit space for visual artists from the Midlands. This initiative launched in 2005, with five artists displaying their work throughout the Foundation’s offices and meeting spaces, allowing new audiences to discover talented creators.

What began as a conversation with one preservation leader has grown into the South Carolina Historic Black Schools Preservation Network. We convene and support this statewide coalition, connecting alumni, communities, and preservation partners to share resources, strengthen collaboration, and preserve the legacy of historic Black schools.
Building on a landmark Google.org investment, we are helping nonprofits and grantmakers across South Carolina embrace artificial intelligence through practical training, peer learning, and strategic partnerships that strengthen their work and prepare them for the future.

Operating under the Foundation’s fiscal sponsorship, this statewide organization brings together funders and philanthropic organizations to help members connect, learn, and take action. Our members include private foundations, corporate funders, community foundations, and other organizations that invest in the nonprofit sector.
The African American Philanthropy Committee celebrates and strengthens a tradition of generosity by expanding philanthropy, supporting nonprofits serving Black communities, and investing in community leadership across the Midlands.
