Before You Start

Let's get organized

All grant applications are submitted through our online portal, so having your materials ready ahead of time will save you time later.

Apply Through our Grant Portal

We encourage your team to thoroughly review all information about the grant before applying. All grant applications must be submitted through the grant portal.

  • Opportunities are listed in the grant portal during their open period.

  • If there are no opportunities listed on the "Apply" page of the grant portal, then we are not currently accepting applications.

  • For a list of application dates and to monitor future opportunities, visit our Grant Opportunities page.

Please note: Mailed, emailed, faxed, or hand-delivered applications are not accepted. You can save your progress in the grant portal and return to complete your application at any time before the submission deadline. Once your application has been submitted, you cannot go back and make changes. Declinations will be emailed.

Get Your Documents Ready

Central Carolina Community Foundation may request these documents at any time during the application process or after you have received funds:

  • Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) tax exemption letter OR fiscal sponsorship agreement

  • Charitable registration letter from the SC Secretary of State’s Public Charities Section OR a current letter stating the organization is exempt from registration

  • Vision, Values, and Mission Statement

  • Audited Financial Statements (Form 990)

  • Staff listing and Board of Directors roster

Quick tip for the grant portal

You do not have to finish everything at once. You can save your progress and return later, but you will not be able to make changes after submitting.
