The Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation, managed through Central Carolina Community Foundation, supports public schools and nonprofits across South Carolina with multi-year Area of Need grants. The Foundation reflects the band's deep commitment to giving back to the state of South Carolina and supporting the communities that shaped them.
Area of Need grants support organizations addressing critical needs in South Carolina, with an emphasis on public education and youth-serving nonprofits. Multi-year funding allows grantees to plan for sustainable impact.
Public schools and 501(c)(3) nonprofits located in or serving South Carolina
Organizations must demonstrate a clear area of need and a plan for meaningful, measurable impact
Applicants must meet all general Central Carolina Community Foundation grant eligibility requirements
Applications are accepted by invitation in February. This grant does not accept unsolicited applications. Organizations interested in being considered should contact Central Carolina Community Foundation.
