Dr. William L. McDow Scholarship

$3,600.00

This non-renewable scholarship is for graduating seniors from Andrew Jackson High School in Lancaster County, South Carolina. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Easterby Family Scholarship

$7,000.00

This renewable scholarship is for students from Laurens County, South Carolina, who are pursuing graduate or post-graduate education in the fields of theology or medicine. The minimum GPA requirement is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. If no such students are eligible, the scholarship may be awarded to a student from Greenville, Spartanburg, or Greenwood County who meets all other criteria.

Estelle Jones Memorial Scholarship

$2,000.00

This renewable scholarship is available for graduates from Lower Richland High School. Preference will be given to applicants who are from Hopkins, South Carolina. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need.

Estelle Jones Non-Traditional Students Scholarship

$2,000.00

This renewable scholarship is designed to support students who are residents of Richland County School District One. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Preference is given to African American students and to non-traditional students, meaning a student with life and work experience after graduating high school and prior to entering into higher education, rather than persons recently out of high school. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

First Choice Members Scholarship

$2,000.00

Applicants must be a current First Choice by Select Health member and provide their member ID# for this non-renewable scholarship. Applicants must have a high school cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, a GED, or a college cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants receiving a scholarship must attend an undergraduate college, university, trade, or vocational school.

Franklin Hines Scholarship

$3,600.00

This renewable scholarship is available to students who are graduating seniors from one of the following high schools: Hartsville High School, Darlington High School, Lamar High School, or McBee High School. Preference will be given to African American and Hispanic students and students from Hartsville—the primary service area of the Hines Funeral Home.

Gerhard Metzen Scholarship

$2,200.00

This renewable scholarship is for current or incoming students at Midlands Technical College (MTC) in Columbia for a degree or certificate program. Applicants must live in Richland County, South Carolina, and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale from high school or their current MTC program, or have earned a GED.

Gilbert Ruritan Scholarship

$2,000.00

This non-renewable scholarship is for graduating seniors at Gilbert High School in Lexington County, South Carolina. Applicants will be scored on three areas: service to the school, service to the community, and congeniality with students, staff, and faculty. Applicants should also demonstrate financial need, good character, and academic promise.

Grace Brooks and E. Perry Palmer Scholarship (Claflin)

$2,300.00

This renewable scholarship is available to students from high schools in the Foundation's 11-county service area. Applicants must attend Claflin University and pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy & Religion. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate financial need.
