Grace Brooks and E. Perry Palmer Scholarship (Seminary)

This renewable scholarship is available to students who graduated from high schools in the Foundation's 11-county service area. Applicants must enroll in a post-graduate seminary program at a school accredited by the Association of Theological Schools. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to African American students.

H. Eugene Webb Jr. Scholarship (Asbury Theological Seminary)

$2,800.00

This renewable scholarship is available to a United Methodist clergy candidate from South Carolina who enrolls in Asbury Seminary. Applicants must have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, demonstrate financial need, and demonstrate faithful involvement in a local worship community, as well as the seminary community.

H. Eugene Webb Jr. Scholarship (Columbia High School)

$2,000.00

This renewable scholarship is for graduating seniors at Columbia High School in Columbia, South Carolina. Applicants must show excellence in public speaking, debate, drama, creative writing, and/or student leadership. The minimum GPA requirement is a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must also participate in school activities/teams/clubs and community service.

Handel-Carter Assistance Fund

This renewable scholarship was established to provide educational opportunities for people living in, or those who have lived within the past two years, a Richland County transitional housing program or within Columbia Housing Authority transitional housing in Columbia, South Carolina. Preference will be given to applicants with some degree of life and work experience, to include graduating high school seniors who already have life and work experience.

Harmon Scholarship

This renewable scholarship was established to help students realize the American Dream. Applicants must be graduating seniors from a public high school in Sumter County, South Carolina with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must attend either Clemson University or the University of South Carolina (Columbia) as a full-time student and pursue a degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, education (teaching), engineering, math, or other traditional sciences. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Jacqueline M. Miller Scholarship

This non-renewable scholarship is for high school seniors graduating from a high school in Fairfield County, South Carolina. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

James A. Broome Scholarship

$2,000.00

This non-renewable scholarship is available to graduating seniors from a high school in Richland or Lexington County, South Carolina. Applicants must be a member of a Key Club sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Columbia, South Carolina.

Jeryl Salmond II Memorial Scholarship

$1,700.00

This renewable scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a career in the Mental Health field. Applicants must be from a county within the Foundation's 11-county service area and major in any of the following: Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology. Eligible applicants may be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree; preference will be given to undergraduate level students. The GPA minimum for this scholarship is a 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.

Junior League of Columbia Scholarship

$3,000.00

The Junior League of Columbia created this non-renewable scholarship to assist students who attended one of the elementary schools located in Richland School District One in Columbia, South Carolina. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Selection is based on three important areas: service to school, service to the community, and congeniality with students, staff, and faculty.
